The paper presents the results of a comparative assessment of the accuracy of two methods of video navigation for aircraft. The method
of odometric video navigation is based on the comparison of two sequentially received in time video images from the camera. The method of
"by georeferencing" is based on the comparison of the received video image from the camera and the synthesized image formed by the terrain
photos, relief map, current navigation parameters (latitude, longitude, altitude, heading, roll, pitch of the aircraft) and camera installation
angles. The paper presents the results of experimental studies to evaluate the accuracy characteristics of these methods implemented in the
on-board computer.
