Autonomous Inertial Navigation System Correction Using a Genetic Algorithm |

An inertial navigation system installed on an unmanned aerial vehicle has been studied. Increasing the accuracy of navigation definitions is carried out using the integration of the inertial navigation system with other sensors of navigation information. Under conditions of active and passive interference, information from sensors external to the inertial system becomes inaccessible and a correction scheme is used with the construction of an error model of the inertial navigation system. The inertial navigation system errors are predicted with the help of the in-flight model and the subsequent correction in the system output signal is carried out. Methods for constructing models are considered and a genetic algorithm is selected. The results of mathematical modeling are presented, confirming the effi ciency of the genetic algorithm in the correction scheme of an autonomous inertial navigation system.
