Two-Rotor Aerodynamic System Regulators Design Via Genetic Algorithm |

The paper considers the control design for the two-rotor aerodynamic system. The system is nonlinear, and the classical methods of the nonlinear control design are difficult to implement, and the use of PID controllers of various confi gurations and modifications is difficult due to tuning complexity. Therefore, it is proposed an approach to control design of the system under consideration using the population optimization method – the genetic algorithm. The article describes the mathematical model of the system, the minimization criteria, and the cost function. The proposed approach is tested during computational experiment, the results of which show the principal applicability of this method of PI-controller tuning for the system under consideration.
