Solving the Problem of Morphological Comparison of Two Figures by Machine Vision |

The article describes the solution of the problem of morphological comparison of two figures using machine vision. The analysis of the problem was made. An algorithm for solving the problem has been compiled, which is a sequence of operations on digital images of figures. Each of the stages is implemented using the OpenCV and PyClipper libraries in the Python programming language. A metric has been defined that makes it possible to quantify the degree of correspondence between two polygons. The test results have shown that the presented method for solving the problem of morphological comparison of two figures allows for quality control of the production of corrugated cardboard packaging products, and the use of relatively simple operations and the use of the OpenCV and Pyclipper libraries makes it possible to carry out calculations in real time mode.
