Instruments and Systems: Monitoring, Control, and Diagnostics Annotation << Back Features of Russian Publications Flows on Separate Scientific Research Areas A.V. GLUSHANOVSKIY, V.A. TSVETKOVA, V.M. TYUTYUNNIK The dynamics of Russian publication’s flow in six research areas (physics, chemistry, mathematics, geology, biology and computer sciences) and three source types (journal article, conference proceeding paper, book and book chapter) is analyzed for 2010–2019. The unevenness of flow growth depending on the different research areas is established. Russia occupies third place for physics and mathematics in 2019. The most perceptible growth takes place in computer sciences (from 34 to 14 positions). The expected redistribution by type of source in favor of conference proceedings takes place only in half of the thematic areas. As it follows from analyze, average citation for conference proceeding papers is lower by an order than journal’s article, and this fact is lowered an average flow citation and, accordingly, the “scientifi c weight” of the flow as a whole. As it is stated from comparison with publication flows of another countries, an average citation for Russian flow is twice lower than for other countries whatever of research area. On authors opinion it orders special attention from Russian scientific society.
