Digital Harmonic Analysis Based on Segmentation and Processing of Binary-Sign Discrete Representation in Time of Continuous Signals

This paper deals with the development of mathematical and algorithmic support for digital harmonic analysis using binary-sign stochastic quantization of signals. In order to increase the statistical stability in the process of calculating the amplitude spectrum estimates, an approach is used based on the formation and averaging of the results of processing a segments pseudo-ensemble for a binary-quantized realization of the analyzed signal. The developed algorithmic support eliminates the need to perform repeated processing of the overlapping segments of the pseudo-assembly segments. At the same time, the use of binary-sign stochastic quantization led to a decrease in the number of digital multiplication operations performed in the process of calculating estimates of the Fourier coefficients. All this made it possible to increase the efficiency of computational procedures and reduce the time spent in harmonic analysis based on the method of signal segmentation and averaging the obtained estimates of the amplitude spectrum. The results of numerical experiments presented in the paper show that the developed mathematical and algorithmic support allows performing digital harmonic analysis of multicomponent signals with high accuracy and frequency resolution.
