Dynamics analysis of the robust automation
system of sheet glass production |

The article focuses on the technological process automation of sheet glass production using vertical drawing glass machines. An
essential control object feature is the interval parameters influencing the system dynamic characteristics. It dictates the use of
complex control systems that have adaptive properties allowing to adapt to parameters changes, or the use of an approach to a
«rough» systems class solution. It is shown that the application of evaluating filters requiring mandatory introduction statistical
information processing subsystems unnecessarily complicates the system structure. Whereas the robust control is more rational.
Interval parameters are identified and their physical origin is illustrated on base of the drawing glass modes analysis. Their implementation,
for example by varying the glass ribbon thickness, significantly changes drawing speed and hence the delay time and
the inertia moment depended on the mass. Article also describes research methods of the interval parameters influence on control
object robust stability using classical PID control law. Locuses of the robust system frequency characteristics are given and their
mutual arrangement with the circle that characterizes parameter perturbation scale is shown. It allows make conclusion about the
system robust stability nature.
