Suboptimal bearing extrapolation algorithm |

Extrapolation methods based on well-known linear estimation theory are effective in wide range of application. But they can’t
provide low level of dynamic errors because of nonlinearity in target bearing function. Suboptimal bearing extrapolation algorithm
can be designed using both linear estimation theory and non-linear function of target bearing if taking a number of assumptions
such as the target moves toward the bearing finder (target’s range rate is negative) and bearing measurements should be weighted
by increasing function. This algorithm provides low level of dynamic errors and can be effectively used instead of linear methods.
