Radioisotope way of heat resistance control of protective chromic covering |

The article deals with the nondestructive radioisotope way of heat resistance control of chromic coverings. The physical essence of the way is based on the estimation of thermal stability on the loss of weight of covering while product is in service. The realization of the way is carried out by the irradiation of covering surface by soft gamma-radiation of radioactive nuclide and registration of characteristic chrome K-radiation, containing in the covering. The applicability of the way in industrial conditions is tested at the estimation of thermal covering stability in gas turbines blades. The offered way allows to estimate the covering quality during 3-4 minutes with the error at the weight method level. |
