The scaling method for identification of controlled objects and rational tuning of pid controllers |

The article shows the capabilities of a Scaling Method (SM) as applied to resolving the tasks of identifying Controlled Objects (CO) and of choosing most suitable settings for PID controllers in control loops. There is also a description of the computer program “SM approximation + PID tuning” which allows not only experienced specialists but also workers with starting professional skills to apply SM quickly and easily. The main advantage of SM is emphasized, that is the opportunity to estimate the accuracy of the future result on the initial stage and perform actions for providing required accuracy.
