This article gives the results of the Pu-Be isotopic fast neutron source application under operation with the scintillation detec-tion blocks BDRS-05R, which are previously developed for the burst cans detection system for the RBMK-1000 type NPP. The possibility to apply the accompanying gamma-ray radiation with the energy of 4.44 MeV, characterizing the high-energy level of the carbon-12 nuclear within the isotopic fast neutron source to calibrate detection blocks and to evaluate their sensitivity to high-energy gamma-rays is considered.
