Using Harmonic Compositions of the Motion
of Overhead High-Voltage Power Lines
to Determine Mechanical Parameters |

The article discusses the task of analyzing the harmonic composition of oscillations in high-voltage overhead power lines in terms of
monitoring their technical condition to ensure uninterrupted and reliable power supply to consumers. It is emphasized that a complete picture
of the air line's condition can be obtained by determining the spectral composition of the span wire's vibrations by using mounted automated
multi-parameter sensors with accelerometers as sensors. It is emphasized that a complete picture of the overhead line technical state can be
determined by determining the spectral composition of the oscillations of the span wire, using mounted automated multi-parameter devices
with accelerometers as sensors. Dynamic models of describing the wire's motion have been analyzed: a) as a tightly stretched string, b) as
small wire oscillations in all three spatial coordinates, c) as the effect of a time-dependent force impact on a section of the span wire over
a certain period. In order to fully describe and monitor the technical condition of power transmission lines, it is necessary to continuously
record and analyze the composition of the higher harmonics in the wire oscillation spectrum. This will allow us to determine all the main
mechanical characteristics of the wires, assess their current technical condition, and predict their future technical condition.
