Design Solution for Construction
of Ellipsoidal Electric Induction Sensor
with Sensitive Elements in the form
of Oblate Spheroid for Evaluation
of Electric Field Parameters |

The research work presents a new design solution for an electric induction sensor of electric fi eld strength with sensitive elements in the
form of a oblate spheroid. A mathematical model has been developed that takes into account the ellipsoidal geometry of sensitive elements
for calculating induced charges under the influence of an external electric fi eld. Using this shape allows you to optimize the sensitivity of the
sensor and reduce measurement errors in conditions of fi eld heterogeneity. Modeling in the Elcut environment was carried out, demonstrating
the distribution of equipotential lines under the infl uence of both homogeneous and heterogeneous fi elds (point and linear sources). The results
obtained confirm the influence of the geometry of the sensors on the accuracy and sensitivity of the measurements. A structural diagram of a
measuring circuit with differential amplifiers and scale converters is proposed, which ensures correct removal and processing of signals from
two oppositely located sensitive elements. The developed sensor allows to increase accuracy and expand the spatial range of measurements of
electric field strength, which is important for a wide range of scientific, technical and industrial applications.
