RYLOV Modern distributed automation systems consist of a variety of hardware and software components of varying complexity and purpose. Each of these entities can be described in different ways and in different notations. This complicates the ability to transfer information at various stages of the lifecycle of the component of the distributed system itself, as well as the system as a whole. Currently, within the framework of Industry 4.0 and the industrial Internet of Things, there is a concept of digital assets (Asset) and an asset management system (AssetAdministrationShell). In this article, the authors consider these concepts and methods of transferring digital assets in the form of AMLX and AASX containers. The structure of these containers and their differences within the framework of the IIRA and RAMI 4.0 architectures are examined.
