ZAGIDULIN The article describes the experience of automation of the Rubtsovskaya polymetal processing plant (Altai Krai). The applied software and hardware solutions based on Siemens programmable logic controllers, MasterSCADA 4D SCADA-system and industrial network with redundancy are described. Special attention is paid to the issues of joint operation of new equipment with existing sections and minimization of downtime during modernization. The network structure with division by control levels, ensuring stable data transfer and fault tolerance, is given. It is shown how visualization of processes using mnemonic diagrams and graphs facilitates the work of operators and helps to respond faster to deviations. Also considered is the automation of the launch of flow-transport systems, which made it possible to reduce the overall start-up time of the plant and reduce the influence of the human factor. The article presents a practical example of implementing a modern control system at an existing enterprise without stopping production.
