Data Processing for the Information
System for Training of Rescuers
and Industrial Personnel |
D.YU. TULUPOV, V.M. TYUTYUNNIK
Training of rescuers and industrial personnel to work in emergency situations using information systems is accompanied by time series of
pulmonary ventilation, saturated with a set of artifacts and noise due to both physical features of the device and biodynamics of the user. Quantitative
identification of the boundary of the useful frequency range using the classical Welch method requires effective filters to smooth the obtained
pulmonary ventilation data. The comparative analysis of six most common filtering methods allowed us to determine that the Butterworth fi lter is
the most effective, as it allows simultaneously suppressing noise components and minimally distorting the shape of the physiological pulmonary
ventilation curve. Efficiency calculations and smoothing curves are presented.
Keywords: rescue training, critical conditions, information system, pulmonary ventilation, effectiveness of smoothing filters, Butterworth filter.
