Study of Static Characteristics
of Pressure Sensors for Altitude-Velocity
Parameters Using an Elastic System

The article considers the primary transducers of pressure sensors included in the air signal system, the operation of which is based on
the optical method of information conversion. The key feature of these primary transducers, emphasizing the importance of this study, is an
original elastic system (ES), consisting of an elastic membrane and a manometric box, with a given variable stiffness. This allows linearizing
the characteristic of the elastic system as a function of the aircraft fl ight altitude. In addition, mutually counter, acting at different time
intervals, movement of the membrane and the manometric box during pressure measurement reduces the effect of the total elastic hysteresis.
The study presents a technique for mathematical modeling of the elastic characteristic of the system, which considers the mutual movement
of the elastic membrane and the membranes that make up the manometric box. To study the static characteristic of the pressure sensor, a
stand was developed for measuring the defl ection of the elastic system depending on the applied pressure. The analysis and comparison of the
elastic properties of the system obtained by the analytical method and the experimental results are performed.
