Model of the Control System for the Regeneration Process
in an Adsorption Dryer for Natural Gas |

The paper examines the regeneration process in an adsorption dryer for natural gas. The main elements of the object and the control
system for the process under consideration are determined. Mathematical relationships are presented that describe the dynamics of the control
system elements. Communication equations are specified and justified, establishing the order of interaction of object elements in the process
of operation. Schemes of individual elements and a diagram of the system as a whole have been developed in the Scilab Xcos environment,
the structure of which is identical to the established mathematical relationships and communication equations. PID regulation has been
introduced into the control process with a limitation of the control signal value. The developed control system model made it possible to
select PID controller coeffi cients that ensured an overshoot value of less than 1 %. The simulation results are obtained in the form of graphs
of transient processes for the temperature of gas, air, heating element and adsorbent. An analysis of the processes of temperature changes in a
regenerated dryer and PID controller control signals was carried out.
