A Study of the Efficiency of Next-Generation Firewalls
and the Zero Trust Concept in Providing
Network Security |
A.U. MENTSIEV, T.G. AYGUMOV,
E.M. ABDULMUKMINOVA
The need to provide comprehensive and adaptive network security has led to the emergence of Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and the
Zero Trust model. NGFWs allow you to analyze network traffi c at the application, user, and content levels, going far beyond the capabilities of
traditional fi ltering tools. The Zero Trust model complements this approach by establishing strict access control to network resources with continuous
validation of the identity and integrity of endpoints. The article examines the main characteristics of NGFWs and the zero trust concept, analyzes the
evolution of traditional fi rewalls, and describes the structural integration of new security principles into corporate networks. Examples of component
architecture are given, and technical aspects of implementation are discussed. The work is illustrated with comparative tables and graphical diagrams
demonstrating the advantages of integrating NGFWs and the zero trust model.
