Application of the Shaping Filter Method
in Discrete Signals Simulation |

This article is devoted to the application of the method of shaping fi lters to simulate discrete deterministic signals according to the
specifi ed energy characteristics. The spectral density function and the autocorrelation function of the signal are considered as initial data. The
Newton's method is applied to solve a system of equations in order to calculate the coeffi cients of the shaping fi lter. The suffi ciency of its
incomplete solution without loss of reliability of the obtained result is noted. With the help of the original software product, a computational
experiment was conducted to assess the quality of the simulation process on specifi c simulation parameters. The estimation was performed
by calculating the error of the experimental autocorrelation function of the signal with respect to the initial theoretical one. The conclusion is
made about acceptable error values in practice and, consequently, fairly accurate reproduction of the signal. The estimation of the operating
time of the shaping fi lter for different values of the number of discrete signal samples was performed. The results of the work can be used
in the development of mathematical and software stands for semi-natural modeling of control complexes and systems of various classes,
including real-time.
