Selection of a pH Meter for Measuring the Alkalinity of the Copper Ore Flotation Process |

In the process of work, the need to change the concentration of hydrogen ions in solutions is considered, the analysis and classifi cation of existing pH measurement tools in various industries is carried out. Based on the results of the study, a universal selection method was compiled based on the requirements for the specifics of the measurement medium, the use of standards (GOST) and a pH meter was chosen to measure alkalinity in flotation plants when producing copper concentrate. The importance of measuring this indicator lies in the infl uence on the floatability of the pulp: an increase or decrease leads to the loss of minerals in the tails. The object of the study is a pH meter for determining the concentration of hydrogen ions in an aggressive medium. The purpose of the scientific study is to develop a methodology for choosing a pH meter for measuring alkalinity in the flotation of copper ores.
