Functional Approach to Comprehensive Assessment of the Level of Information Security of the Element Corporate Communication Network |
A.S. BELOV, M.M. DOBRYSHIN, D.E. SHUGUROV
Based on the analysis of modern documents regulating the process of ensuring and evaluating information security, the terminological basis in this subject area has been clarified and supplemented. The refi ned terminological basis determined the need to form an approach to a comprehensive assessment of the level of information security using elements of probability theory and graph theory. The approach consists in successively determining the ability and ability of an attacker to infl uence each of the properties of a particular asset of the protected object. After a quantitative assessment of each of the properties of the asset, using the technique of "deviations of the normalized values from the required values", the complex value of the information security level of the element of the corporate communication network is calculated. Taking into account the importance of each element of the corporate communication network, the values of the quality of communication services provided to users are calculated and the level of information security of the element of the corporate communication network is assessed.
Keywords: information security level, information technology, asset security, security, assessment.
