MOSCKALEV The article briefly describes the current legislative and applied problems related to the metrological assurance of threaded joints and threaded gauges in Russian Federation. The assessment of the current state of this area is given and the need to increase the level of appropriate metrological support is shown. The general results of the development, research and implementation of a high-precision measuring complex for verification and calibration of threaded gauges in FSUE «D.I. Mendeleev All-Russian Institute for Metrology» are presented. Its composition and structure are shown. The main factors forming the linear dimensions measurement error of the complex are described, as well as a number of technical and methodological solutions aimed at minimizing them. According to the research results for the main geometric parameter of the threaded gauge – the pitch diameter of the thread – the values of the total mean square deviation of the measurement results are not more than 0.2 μm; the confi dence limits of the total error do not exceed ±0.5 μm. The ways of further research and improvement of the complex are proposed. The prospects of creating a state primary special standard for measuring the parameters of threaded connections on its basis, designed to reproduce and transfer units in this area, with the development of appropriate local and state verification schemes, are described.
