VOSTRYKH The article presents a new author's method for evaluating the effectiveness of graphical user interfaces of software products, with the help of which it becomes possible to make a reasonable choice of information systems based on their interfaces due to the developed scientific and methodological tools. These tools allow us to calculate in a formalized form, as separate groups of indicators, for conducting an interim assessment of compliance with the needs of a certain group of key persons (customers, users, heads of departments), and convert the entire range of characteristics into a single integral performance indicator, with which it is convenient to conduct a comparative assessment of graphical user interfaces of alternatives to systems of similar purpose and functionality, as well as the implementation of an informed choice of software products.
