Distributed Overhead Line and Substation Insulation Control System Based on Wireless Capacitive Sensors |

In this paper, three modifications of overhead line and substation insulation condition monitoring system based on sensors mounted on poles and insulators are considered. The sensors operate on the principle of capacitive coupling with the insulating structure. The difference of modifications of the system in the variants of information presentation: light indication for control when bypassing lines and substations and
changing graphs on the computer screen (smartphone) when receiving data in real time from sensors via cellular communication. Describes the principle of operation and functional diagrams of the system. The results of tests and experiments with the manufactured samples of the
product in laboratory and field conditions are presented. The prospects of implementation are discussed.
