Spectral Representation of Stationary and Non-Stationary Stochastic Signals in the Basis of Trigonometric Functions |

The paper introduces an approach to the representation of stationary and non-stationary stochastic signals in the basis of trigonometric functions based on canonical expansion. An algorithm for simulating stationary stochastic signals in the spectral region of the trigonometric basis has been developed. The algorithm includes a simplified procedure for obtaining stochastic coeffi cients of the Fourier series expansion. This procedure reduces the computational complexity of the algorithm. The simulated signal has specified energy characteristics and it is widesense stationary. The proposed algorithm has been modified for the simulation of non-stationary signals. This modification makes the algorithm capable of representing both stationary and non-stationary processes in the same basic system. The results of the work can be useful in the development of software for semi-natural modeling of realtime system components.
