Neural Network Tuning of Controller Parameters in the Hydrau-Lic Turbine Controlsystem |

Various approaches are used to recognize the condition of a hydraulic turbine with limited information obtained during its operation. If a faulty condition is detected or predicted, it is necessary to adjust the settings in the control system of the hydraulic turbine. Traditionally, automatic control systems that include PID controllers are used to regulate hydraulic turbines. The controller transmits the control action derived from the error value to the operating assemblies of the hydraulic turbine. In this article, neural network methods were used to develop an adaptive hydraulic turbine controller.The article presents the results of development and model tests of adaptive controller, which includes a neural network unit.The obtained results demonstrate the efficiency of PID controller coefficients adjustment using a neural network.The disadvantage of the developed control system is the multiple setpoint changes during coefficient tuning. The directions of further work to improve the controller are suggested.
