IVANOVA, A.P. RYZHKOV An approach is proposed to evaluate the effectiveness of the processes of countering negative external influences on an information system based on the use of aspects of the theory of the effectiveness of targeted processes. A generalized performance indicator is formulated, satisfying the requirements of representativeness, criticality of complexity, stochasticity and simplicity. An algorithm has been developed for determining a generalized indicator of the effectiveness of countering external negative impacts on an information system.
