The possibility of using automated refractometric device for measuring the total alkalinity in the green lye in sulphate pulp production |

The paper an automated refractometric device with a backup system of water purification of the working face of the optical prism of total internal reflection for measurements of total alkalinity in green lye in the sulphate pulp production of cellulose is presented. The refractometer has an automatic adjustment of the scale range according to the refractive index n and the concentration k is shown. Technical and operational characteristics of the developed device are given. The convergence of the results of the refractive index calibration, which was not worse than Δn = 0,0005, was experimentally obtained.
