Estimation of strength of deformable materials |

Proposed and justified are the strength characteristics of deformable materials, in which the stressed state is close to homogeneous.
The standard procedure for determining the strength of materials based on the results of tests destructive load, is based on a simplified
view of the nature of the material under load and does not meet the requirements of modern engineering practice. It is proposed to use the
elastic limit, modulus of elasticity, viscosity and hygroscopicity as the base strength characteristics instead of the ultimate strength, relative deformation, time from the beginning of deformation to fracture and the specific work of deformation failure, which makes it easier,
more operatively, reliably, without destruction and during operation objects to receive information for evaluating the strength of structural materials.
