Instruments and Systems: Monitoring, Control, and Diagnostics Annotation << Back Development of domestic specialized CAD – the inevitable way to ensure Russia`s technological independence from foreign CAD S.A. KUZNETSOV It is shown, that unlike General-purpose software, such a photo editor AutoCAD and its annexes, only specialized CAD software, the development of which is based on the technology of object-oriented approach, are a powerful and complete software products designed to solve specific problems by professionals in specific subject areas. Based on the analysis of the world market of software products is viewed by the vast majority of foreign specialized CAD, promotion, sale and supply of which in Russia is actively involved in many domestic companies. Therefore, Russian professionals are forced to use mainly foreign specialized CAD, despite the fact that these software products do not support the Russian standards and always requires significant improvement, and their adaptation to the conditions of production of domestic enterprises. Thus, Russia was almost complete technological dependence on foreign CAD. To ensure the technological independence of Russia from foreign CAD Russian companies should pay close attention and make every effort to create a variety of specialized CAD software. It should be borne in mind that there are already precedents for the development of some domestic companies in such industries as light industry and furniture production, highly specialized CAD system, which successfully replace the working of foreign CAD systems more suitable for the Russian users of the domestic CAD software.
