On the precision of the heat flux measument in the high temperature dissociated air and nitrogen flow using calorimeters of different materials |

Problem of heat flux measurement in the high temperature dissociated air and nitrogen flow generated in the high frequency induction 1 MW plasmotron is under the consideration. Experimental data of heat exchange investigation on the calorimeters from different materials are presented. Among samples were metals and quartz material TZMK-10 with antioxidant film and without it. Surface roughness influence on the unsteady copper calorimeters heat exchange was investigated. It was found that different materials calorimeters gave different heat flux. This difference arises from the catalytic activity of materials during oxygen and nitrogen atoms recombination on surface. Catalytic activity increases for materials with more surface roughness.
