Mathematical models to achieve ultra fast performance of industrial computing machines |

The article deals with the efficiency indices and their temporal dependence. The reduction of time regarding response delay of control objects and risks of spending [excessively] much time on forming control actions point to scientific and technical necessity of solving
problems concerning productivity improvement of computing machines. Several groups of research guidelines meant to improve the performance of automaton systems as well as factors determining the need of raising multipurpose computer speed are indicated. The technical (technological) and methodical aspects of performance improving process are evaluated. The author concludes that the ways of technical performance improvement are getting to the boundary of transistors growth technology “metal – insulator – semiconductor”. It is suggested to focus on achieving the maximum performance regarding 2 aspects: reducing time of instructions execution and also of computing operation in arithmetic and logic unit of the processor. The author reveals possible solutions to the problem of achieving
the highest possible performance of computer machines, which refer to the use of context-dependent instructions in a programme and
application of no algorithmic execution of computing operation. The difficulties of implementation are defined.
