Problems of development and creation of adaptive smart-materials based on piezoelectric actuators |

The article presents an overview of existing adaptive smart-materials and structures based on them, as well as the capabilities of modern
piezoelectric actuators and related smart structures. There is indicating their actual features and parameters. There is a mission statement to planned
and developed adaptive smart-materials. Technological techniquesfor fabrication of structures based on smart-materialsare given in the paper. The
examples of actual and emerging adaptive smart-structures and structures based on them, including active vibration damping elements in designs
or products. The mathematical modelof control structures based on piezoelectric adaptive smart-materials to absorb vibrations is described. In
conclusion the directions of further development of this technology to develop and manufacture adaptive smart materials, particularly of structures
based on piezoelectric ceramics.
