Solution of the construction problem of
optimal logical structures of network
databases in fuzzy environment |

The logical structure of the database is the basis for optimizing the network database. Optimally designed logical structure of the network
database provides the foundation for optimal performance of database and application.
In the article the algorithm for solving the synthesis problem of the optimal logical structure of network database in fuzzy environment on
the criterion of minimum total time of loading network database, service multiple requests of users and making adjustments in the network
database are considered.
Time parameters are presented in the form of fuzzy variables, allowing to objectively determine the source data synthesis problem.
The synthesis problem is a nonlinear mathematical programming problem with Boolean variables of large dimension. To solve it, is used a
method based on the scheme “branch and bound”.
The article considers an algorithm for solving the case of one point entry into the structure. Also considered a branch scheme, which will
provide the necessary multivariate distribution of a multiplicity of groups of the network database canonical structure on records and allowed
to reduce the number of variants (points) under consideration compared to the total branch scheme.
