KUZMIN Actual problem of the modern mechanical engineering is diagnostics of details of the composite geometrical form for the purpose of definition of degree of their wear and possibility of further operation. In article the way of calculation of radius of a profile of a large-size selfcontained body is considered. Mathematical dependences and results of physical experiment are given. Researches show that accuracy of an assessment of a profile depends on number of considered harmonicas that has to use in practice. However the increase in their number conducts to increase in time of calculations which can make some clocks. Reduction of time of calculation can be carried out at the expense of a parallelizing of calculations.
