Development of adaptive digital
combined voltage and current
transformer for smart GRIDS |

The paper presents approaches to solving the problems of development of adaptive devices, automation, control and protection
for Smart Grids. For these purposes are being developed adaptive digital combined current and voltage transformers (ADCCVT)
intended for use as a remote terminal SCADA-system, including intellectual current and voltage sensors for control and protection
of electrical substations, as well as for automated electricity metering. The construction of the ADCCVT serves to combine
current and voltage transducers, so that the analog-to-digital sampling of voltage and current of the same phase performed
synchronously. In combined converters sampling is carried out simultaneously in a natural way through the use of multi-chip
ADC with simultaneous starting conversion. Is a block diagram of the ADCCVT, the algorithm of its operation, the example
programming model of the current transformer in VisSim. The substantiation of the application package VisSim simulation is a
tool in the design of the ADCCVT.
