Method and software tool MEDIS for detection and isolation memory-related errors in C / C++ programs |

A new effective method for memory-related errors detection is developed for C / C++ programs, which is used on the static stage
of debugging. The distinction of the method is memory-control mechanism, which is applied after intermediate data representation.
This mechanism includes intra-procedural analyses, inter-procedural analyses and errors detection stage.
MEDIS (Memory-related Errors Detection and Isolation System) is developed. MEDIS is based on the proposed method. Results
of comparative tests of MEDIS and widely used tool Сppcheck v.1.53 on detection of memory-related errors indicate MEDIS reveals
more errors for a more short time.
