Wireless telemetry system for research of gas sensors characteristics |

A wireless system for gas sensor characterization isdescribed. A remote measurement module of the system is based on the ADuC836 MicroConverter and the 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4-compliant ZigBee transceiver. Power supply of the module is provided by an autonomous stabilized 3.3V
source. The module interacts with a data acquisition server through wireless channel. The server is implemented on a PC with external ZigBee transceiver connected to USB interface. Measurement mode control and data processing are performed by server software in MATLAB technical computing environment. The developed wireless telemetry system has been successfully applied for characterization of catalytic bead sensors DTK-1. The characterization results of the sensors operating in periodic mode are presented.
