The article discusses the application of artificial intelligence methods to the problem of identification of hazardous substances
and establishment of their concentration on the basis of data obtained from laser systems for remote sensing. Established an expert information system based on nonmonotonic inference for the identification of harmful substances. To control the consistency of the facts in the EIS proposed to use the system to support reasoning. To establish the concentration suggested the
use of the apparatus of artificial neural networks.
