The article analyzes the effect of specular and diffuse spectrum components of a radar signal reflected from the sea surface on the measurement accuracy of the object height. To eliminate diffuse spectrum component near radio horizon it suggests forming a null in the sum and difference directional patterns by modifying weighting coefficients vectors for sum and difference channels.
