A methodology has been developed for constructing robust controllers that implement standard control laws in the circuits of multi-mode control systems
for dynamic objects with delay. The basis for the proposed methodology as a calculation model is a model of an object with boundary values of parameters
from the intervals of their change corresponding to their most unfavorable combination in the model, and a criterion for the maximum degree of stability. To
select a computational model of a second-order object with a delay, expressions containing various combinations of parameters of the interval model of the
object are obtained. Variants of the obtained expression are considered, which determine the worst combination of object parameters based on the boundary
values and average interval values of the object parameters. The necessary and suffi cient conditions for the robustness of a system with a typical PID controller
of the maximum degree of stability are analyzed. Research has been carried out and an assessment of the effectiveness of the proposed method has been
obtained using examples of the synthesis of a robust control system for a quasi-stationary multi-mode object through a channel for regulating the concentration
of dissolved oxygen in an industrial bioreactor.
Keywords: multi-mode control system, interval model, PID control law, degree of stability, robustness.
