On a Method to Improve the Accuracy
of a Two-Component Angular Rate Sensor Based
on a Dynamically Tuned Gyroscope |
NGUYEN DINH DUY
Inertial angular motion meters for moving objects, especially aircraft, which play an important role in control, orientation and navigation systems,
are used to obtain information about the angular rate of the carrier relative to the inertial coordinate system. Unlike other types of angular rate meters,
gyroscopic angular rate sensors (ARS) have a low sensitivity threshold and high accuracy, so they are widely used in aviation technology. From the
point of view of construction, there are ARS with a mechanical spring and with an electric spring. They can be built on various types of gyroscopes,
such as solid-state wave, laser, fi ber-optic gyroscope. In modern precision gyroscopic technique, dynamically tuned gyroscopes (DTG) occupy a
strong place due to their advantages, for example, high accuracy, small dimensions and weight, low power consumption. However, the ARS, built
on the basic of DTG, has a specifi c error caused by the interference of measuring channels. Within the framework of this work, an assessment of this
dynamic error is given, and a method for its compensation is proposed.
