Determination of Ferromagnetic
Material’ Magnetic Properties
by Diagnostics of its Spherical Sample |

On the example of spherical sample subjected to research based on ballistic method, the possibility of determining magnetic parameters
that characterize both the sphere itself and its material is considered: magnetization, magnetic susceptibility, permeability, induction. It is
shown that the values of these parameters for the sphere’ material are more than three times higher than for the sphere itself. The sequence
of obtaining these parameters’ data (starting from data of magnetic fl ux and its density) is described. According to the error assessment,
a warning about its violation is justifi ed, in particular, in the actions often carried out, which suggest a "short" way to obtain data on the
magnetic permeability of the sample.
