The article considers the problem of calculating the shape change during metal pressure treatment during deformation, weakly limited by
the tool, a method is proposed for selecting the approximating function of moving material points of a deforming body during technological
calculations of metal pressure treatment performed by the method of work, a technology for approximating experimental data based on a
neural network computational model is developed, which allows immediately after the result of training a neural network using the genetic
algorithm to obtain the desired approximation function. The results of the practical application of the proposed algorithm for fi nding solutions
in terms of performance and accuracy of approximation are presented.
