Measurement of the Flow Rate
of Two-Component Flows Using
Amplitude-Modulated
Electromagnetic Oscillations |

The principle of constructing a fl ow meter for two-component fl ows in pipelines using the characteristics of amplitude-modulated
electromagnetic ultrahigh frequency oscillations is proposed. The possibility of measuring the volumetric fl ow rate based on the frequency of
one of the two simulated signals and the phase difference between them through the velocity of the medium transported through the pipeline
is shown. The interaction of electromagnetic vibrations with dielectric particles moving in a stream is analyzed, taking into account their
concentration, geometric dimensions and electrophysical properties. The application of correlation processing of two modulated signals with
their subsequent transformation to calculate the mass consumption of substances is justifi ed. The scope of application of the proposed fl ow
meter for two-component fl ows has been determined.
