Monitoring the Longitudinal Position
of a Video Camera During Television
Inspection of the Internal Surface of Pipes |

A method is considered for calculating the longitudinal position of a video camera with an ultra-wide-angle optical system of the "Fisheye" type,
which moves in a pipe for the purpose of automated quality control of the internal surface. The need to determine the camera position is associated
with solving the problem of determining the coordinates of detected defects. The method is implemented without complicating the system hardware
and is based on digital processing of images generated by a video camera.
