Experimental Continuous Air Insulation Control Lines and Substations |
D.K. ZARIPOV, R.A. NASIBULLIN
The paper considers a system for monitoring the insulation state of overhead power transmission lines and substations based on sensors installed on supports and insulators. The sensors work on the principle of capacitive coupling with an insulating structure and register the appearance and growth of electrical discharges near the insulators. The data from the sensors with a predetermined frequency (from 1 minute or more) are transmitted via cellular communication to the computer (smartphone) of the operating service and are presented on the screen in the form of changing graphs. The principle of operation and functional diagram of the system are described. The results of tests and experiments with manufactured product samples in laboratory and field conditions on an operating 110 kV line are presented. Based on the results of field experiments, the advantages of the developed insulation monitoring system are shown in comparison with traditional remote diagnostics devices.
