Development of intellectual jet flow meter for commercial gas accounting on the domestic element base

Issues of developing an intelligent flow meter for gas metering stations, based on simultaneous measuring of gas volume, gas concentration, and gas temperature are considered in this paper. The device consists of a primary transducer (jet generator), which is installed in a gas flow which is being measured, it excites rectangular-shaped acoustic oscillations that are transformed by a secondary piezoelectric transducer into the appropriate according to the Fourier transform, electrical spectrum and processed spectrum by a functional frequency-to-physical transducer into measured values. In the development of the piezoelectric transducer, the ANSYS software product was used, which has wide possibilities of virtual design, modal and harmonic analysis of complex structures. The essence of modal analysis is finding the resonance frequency of the structure for various modes. Harmonic analysis is a very convenient for obtaining the amplitudefrequency and phase-frequency characteristics of the model. The functional transducer is an adaptive selector that selects the first harmonic of the polyharmonic signal, simultaneously functionally converting the frequency into a code corresponding to the measured fl ow rate. The information processing unit consists of a microcontroller, which has information about temperature received via the corresponding measuring channels, concentration of accompanying gases for calculating the gas flow, reduced to standard conditions according to GOST 2939-63 in accordance with the requirements of GOST R 8.740-2011.
