Universal modul of isfc for solving problems of measuring, control and management

The analysis of the development of the integrating scanning frequency converters (ISFC) was done; features and benefits of the ISFC were shown. The problem of developing a universal module ISFC, which has a minimum number of external components and allows implementing various ISFC schemes for resistive and capacitive physical quantity sensors (temperature, humidity, force, pressure, etc.) has been posed and solved (for measurement, control and management systems). This generalized block diagram of the ISFC with the measuring circuit of the transducer (sensor) physical parameters and known electrical ISFC circuits were investigated. The structure of the universal module of ISFC that has the necessary and sufficient number of basic elements for its operation, with a minimum number of additional (mounted) elements allows the realization of various electrical ISFC circuits are represented. The universal module includes an integrator, a comparator and an inverting amplifier on three operational amplifiers with a certain number of resistors and capacitors. The wiring of the universal module ISFC to the resistive temperature sensor, absolute and differential pressure sensors (with piezoresistive bridges) and to the capacitive humidity sensor were described. The transformation functions of the described ISFC circuits are given. The dependence of the output frequency signal from the changeable parameters of the sensors elements is shown. Timing diagrams illustrating the operation of the ISFC schemes are presented. The highlighted features of all the described electrical circuits were emphasized: their invariance to changes in the supply voltage and the lack of stringent requirements to the stability of integrator capacitor, as it is not included in the transformation function of any of the above ISFC schemes. It is concluded that the developed universal ISFC module provides a wide number of resistive and capacitive sensors with the frequency output signal; it can be manufactured in integrated and hybrid performance using a frameless micro power operational amplifiers; it can be used in many cases and it eliminating the need in microprocessors and microprocessor systems, by using it one can get a high enough consumer qualities transducers and reducing cost, especially in small batch production; it can be useful and promising for the implementation of various tasks in measuring, control and management systems in terms of the need of import substitution.
